I’m not a real fan of poetry but after getting the chance to read some of Lesley’s prose I was prompted to get a copy of her book.
I am aware of what Free Verse is but one cannot get the thought out of one’s head of poems that rhyme on every other line. This is not always the case and it added to my enjoyment.
Lesley’s poetry is not only crammed with insight but can’t help but be motivational to any writer no matter what level they rate themselves.
Whether you are a writer or an avid reader this book should be on your list.

If you are a writer, but haven’t picked up a pen in a while or you are thinking about becoming a writer, this is the book for you. Sometimes it’s easy to be intimidated about writing and especially poetry. We look at JK Rowling and Robert Frost and think there’s no way I could write as well as them, but like anything else, writing is a craft you only get better at by doing. Lesley’s writing style is like having a conversation with an old friend. She has a wonderful sense of humor. If you are looking for motivation to just pick up that pen or pull out that typewriter and just get started, Read this book! You’ll be glad you did.
